Winter Windows

I look at the beautiful windows
Spilling light on this dark winter's night
Resplendent  with safety and comfort
Protecting the people inside
Other lives, Other homes
Other dreams, Other hopes
Other lies, Other than mine
Would I choose another life, another window
Try it out, take it on, make it mine
Yes I would...sometimes

Secrets

I have a secret sorrow
That I shall N'ere Impart
It breathes no sigh
It sheds no tear
Yet still devours my heart

Trick Of The Light

I held you in my arms again
Your head upon my heart
Forgot about mistrust and pain
That drove us far apart
I laid your head upon my breast
My arms around you tight
Your face turned into someone else
It was just a trick of the light

I held you in my arms again
I held your eyes with mine
I wrapped my arms around you
And breathed with you one last time
There must have been a window
That time let you slip though
I knew I was with a stranger
But for a moment
It was you

Within my arms

Will these arms be strong enough
To hold you in a storm
Is the fire within my heart
Enough to keep you warm
I have no worldly riches
Still I offer what I can
Tell Me
Is there room within your heart
For the love of a simple man

A leaking roof above my head
A hearth that I call home
An empty chair, an empty bed
Has caused my eye to roam
Across the Bar far out to sea
To wind and spray and foam
Tell Me
Is there room within your heart
For someone to call your own

I have stood in circles made of stone
I have danced to the pipes of Pan
Through open field and wooded glade
Together with stag I once ran
I have feared the lightning
Cursed the rain
But to the wind I sang
Tell Me
Is there room within your life
For the love of a simple man

Lauriston Hall

Brothers of a timeless tribe
Gathered upon the lawn
Some were the evening sun set
Others just barely dawn
And those who knew te mountains track
Stretched their hands to the ones still afraid
Encouraging but never holding back
From the vision they together had made
There are some who's eyes I cannot hold
Who's hearts I cannot meet
And some with hearts of purets gold
Who's souls prefer retreat
Some are lost, Some reborn
Others merely sleep
But standing together hand in hand
A tribe becomes complete

Someone Special

After time spent with you
I knew
I knew that life would be different
I knew that I would be different
I knew that you would be different
All that had changed was a perception
An understanding
A belief in who I am
When viewed through the eyes of love
All changes
Nothing remains the same
Nothing is exempt

With perfect impartiality love changes all
